Following a detailed site investigation, the type and extent of environmental contamination will have been accurately identified by our environmental team. Remediation is the next step in the contaminated site investigation process. Wittich Environmental Services specializes in the treatment and removal of contaminated soil and groundwater in accordance with the provincial and federal guidelines. Our job is to study all collected information including: contaminant type(s), soil profile, hydrogeology and regulatory requirements to prepare suitable options for successful remediation of the contaminated site. We will then work closely with our clients to develop a remedial action plan that best meets their specific timing and budgetary needs.

Wittich Environmental Services can design and execute site specific remediation programs for the excavation and/or treatment of impacted soils while satisfying regulatory requirements for contaminants of concern. WES has completed successful remediation projects for a variety of contaminants, including: volatile organics, chlorinated solvents, glycols, hydrocarbons and heavy metals.
We have effectively remediated many unique and challenging sites, and as disposal regulations tighten we are developing remediation technologies suitable for Vancouver Island’s unique soil geology, such as bio-remediation, phyto-remediation, soil washing, and in-situ chemical oxidation. When remediation is not a viable option, WES can also prepare environmental monitoring programs as well as risk management plans.
